Haunted House - Scaremonte Mall |
|
|
Your tour begins in the main entrance to the mall. Everything goes dark as the door slams behind you, except for the light of your tour guide's candle. You are welcomed into the shopping center and follow the tour guide through an ominous stone archway. You pass several shoppers who have visited such stores as the surf shop. A young bride stands trapped in the hallway, her beating heart glowing through her wedding dress. Voices of spirits mimic the words she never got to say, "I do..." Listen to the taunting spirits... A skeletal security guard stands near a rocking chair, which rocks without any visible person in it. A guillotine is set up at the end of the hall, and every so often the executioner drops the blade, laughing.
Creepy music is being played over the loudspeakers, and every so often you hear an announcement. Every week, we hang paintings by new artists on our walls. Notice how incredibly lifelike this one seems...
As visitors stare at the portrait, it suddenly comes to life! ...And we always hang pictures of famous faces who shop with us, like Medusa. Are her eyes really following your every move? Or are you just imagining it? The first stop is Man's Best Fiend, the pet shop. Here a clerk displays some of the smaller animals to the guests.
The store just recieved a new shipment this morning, a new animal. They're not sure what it is, but it's nice to have around the house.
The commotion caused by the tour guide wakes up the creature. It roars and shakes its cage, screaming to escape. The clerk warns that it may attack, and advises the guests to continue on their way. The tour guide leads the guests to the patio, to the Two Ghouls Cafe and Market. Here, shoppers can enjoy a bite to eat, be it on a brain, a foot, or a bowl of eyeball soup.
You are led back into the mall building, into R.I.P. Schwartz, the toy store. The owner displays wonderful playthings, such as headless dolls and accident prone cars. The newest doll is Chucky. The owner winds it up, not taking into consideration the fact that it shouldn't be overwound. Chucky comes to life and smiles. Apparently, the doll was overwound, for it stabs the owner and turns on the visitors. It lunges at them but slowly winds down.
You are taken to the electronic toy department. A clerk is talking on the phone as a skull spins on a turntable and frayed wires spark along the walls. The clerk demonstrates the new video game, Donkey Kong Vs. The Monster. The game begins simply enough, but a fatal mistake by the clerk ends it. The monster appears on the screen and intones "Game Over...", and reaches out of the television and pulls the clerk in.
Ladies and gentlemen, the monster may attack us next; please follow me into the Little Chop of Horrors, the hair salon. In the Little Chop of Horrors, a barber seems to have cut a little too much off the top, to the dismay of the victi...er...customer.
In the back of the store is the blow-dryer. It resembles the ones you find in most salons, but it is an electric chair. The barber gives the customer full power. Sparks fly, the chair buzzes, the barber laughs, and the customer screams and dies.
Unfortunately, that is the end of our tour. We hope to see you in the near future, and once again, thank you for shopping Scareamonte.
