Synopsis Act I In the neighborhood, two competing Babysitters are posting flyers. A Teenager is making calls to organize his Halloween party. Adults are wishing for babies. Meanwhile, in the Baby Factory, babies are being made. A mistake causes the Babies for the neighborhood adults to come out way too big! The Babies are told that there is a way to shrink them back down to normal, but the Factory Workers will need time to remember the formula. A side effect of the increased size is that the Babies can already talk. They are told that their parents won't expect them to talk yet, so they should only use baby-talk for the first two years. The Stork delivers
the oversized babies to their Parents. The Parents love their Babies,
but find their huge size causes many problems. Coincidentally, the Parents all have things they need to do at the same time, and so the two Babysitters are left in charge of the babies. The Babysitters work very hard to make the Babies happy, and to outdo each other. The Babies decide they can't wait for the Factory to find the shrinking formula, and they must take matters into their own hands. They take advantage of an opportunity and escape from the Babysitters, who search frantically for the Babies. Back at the Baby Factory the Workers are trying very hard to come up with the correct combination of ingredients for shrinking the babies, but with no success. Act II It's time for the Halloween Party. On the way teenagers Lulu and Selena get pulled over by Officer Alexandro and talk him out of giving them a ticket. Host Joe and Disc jockey LDJ are setting up. Guests arrive including Lulu, Selena, Nancy, Tiffany, heartthrob Chad and an uninvited Stranger. Officer Alexandro arrives to deal with noise complaints, but he's mistaken for a guy in a costume and is dragged into the party. The Babies show up at the party and start asking questions about possible ingredients they might need to combine for a shrinking formula. Because of their size, they are mistaken by the guests for kids in costumes. The Stork arrives. A guest, mistaking the Stork for a person comments on the great costume. His unfortunate wording triggers a panic among the guests who exit the home, leaving only the Babies and the Stork,. The Babies believe that the Stork has come to take them away because they didn't stick to speaking baby-talk. The Babysitters have finally found the Babies, but learn from the Babies why the Babies must be taken away. The Parents return, and the guilt-ridden Babysitters tell them about the Babies being taken away. The Parents love their Babies no matter the size difficulties and plead with the Stork not to take the Babies. The Stork who has been silent up until now reveals that she is not there to take the Babies away. She is there because the Factory Workers have found the formula. The Babies shrink and they all live happily ever after. |
